– If you are having a gathering around Halloween (or any other time of year) and you want simple yet elegant cupcakes, just frost the top with cream cheese icing in a decorative swirl. You can always sprinkle on a couple walnut pieces or shredded coconut and lightly dust the top with cinnamon.- Sugared Cupcakes
– Want sparkly orange cupcakes? Frost the top and then create seams traveling toward the top so they look like the lines on a pumpkin. Now, roll the pumpkin in orange tinted sugar. Using a mix of fine and coarse sugars works best. Place a pretzel stick in the top as a stem.
- Pumpkin Patch Cupcakes
– Although these cupcakes are incredibly easy to create, they always get a great reaction. Use green tinted frosting or piping gel and create upward short strokes from the cupcakes so it looks like grass. Then you simply place a candy pumpkin in the center so it looks like it's growing in a pumpkin patch.

– Tint your cream cheese frosting orange and then smear it on smooth and create lines using a butter knife or fork. Alternatively, you can choose to simply pipe the frosting on.
